Some UAVCAN hardware from jDrones

(Pavel Kirienko) #1

jDrones are now manufacturing and selling some open source UAVCAN hardware originally developed by OlliW: http://store.jdrones.com/uavcan_electronics_jdrones_s/314.htm

Good to see things moving; although that makes me worried that every such development makes the upcoming push to v1.0 harder.

Is the firmware for this board open source?

(Pavel Kirienko) #3

I believe so, see http://www.olliw.eu/2017/uavcan-for-hobbyists/

Unless I’m missing something obvious the source doesn’t seem to be available. Everything else is on GitHub though. https://github.com/olliw42/uavcan4hobbyists

Indeed. Perhaps you should get in touch with Olli and ask him directly?

I asked but got no response from OlliW. AFAIK, it’s his own personal toy project and in no way he has intentions to open-source its firmware.
